High-Fiber Jam Recipe
One yummy way to get some fiber in your diet and help keep you super regular is to make High-Fiber Jam. Now, you might say “ew” to the ingredients, but it’s really good! Share it with your family if you hear them complain about not being able to go. Get your grown-up to find these items at the store:
High Fiber Jam
1 cup applesauce
1 cup bran
½ cup prune juice (natural, no sugar)
High Fiber Jam should be pretty thick and gooey. Keep it refrigerated in a covered container for up to a week.
For a morning bowel movement, eat one tablespoon of jam with a big glass of water every night with dinner or as dessert. If you don’t notice an improvement within a couple of days, increase your portion to two tablespoons every evening. For most people this is enough. Remember, always drink one large glass of water with the jam.
